skinN°88 Return and Refund Policy

skinN°88 is a curated K-beauty store operated by number88 (Business Registration No. 522-43-00996, Republic of Korea). All products are shipped directly from our authorized Korean wholesale partner in Seoul to your address. Standard international delivery takes 2-3 weeks.

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By completing checkout you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms below.


1. Return Window

You may request a return within 14 days of the date your order is delivered (carrier tracking confirmation). Requests submitted after the 14-day window cannot be processed.


2. Eligible for Return

  • Unopened and unused products in their original, sealed packaging (change of mind)
  • Damaged or defective items - report within 14 days of delivery
  • Wrong items received - report within 14 days of delivery

3. Not Eligible for Return

  • Opened or used personal care and beauty products (hygiene reasons - all skincare, makeup, masks, patches, and similar items)
  • Products without their original packaging or seal
  • Items marked as final sale, clearance, or gift cards
  • Bundles, sets, and curated boxes where any single component has been opened
  • Free gift items received as part of a promotion


4. How to Request a Return

  1. Email support@skinn88.com within the 14-day window with your order number and the reason for return.
  2. For damaged, defective, or wrong items, attach the following 3 mandatory photos:
    • (1) The shipping label (tracking number visible)
    • (2) The outer shipping box with the shipping label attached
    • (3) The condition of the product itself
  3. We will review your request and forward it to our fulfillment partner for approval. All returns require prior written authorization from us - unauthorized return shipments cannot be accepted.
  4. Once authorized, we will respond with the correct return address and shipping instructions within 1-2 business days.


5. Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items - Resolution Options

When the 3 mandatory photos clearly show the issue, in most cases we will resolve the case without requiring a physical return. Based on our fulfillment partner's review, you will be offered one of the following:

  • A free replacement shipped at our cost, or
  • A full refund of the affected item(s).

If physical inspection of the returned item is required, we will send return instructions. In that case, the round-trip shipping cost (return shipment + any reverse customs charges) is the buyer's responsibility, and may be partially reimbursed at our discretion if the defect is confirmed.


6. Change-of-Mind Returns

If you simply change your mind, you may return unopened and unused items within 14 days. For change-of-mind returns:

  • The buyer is responsible for both outbound and return shipping costs, plus any reverse customs duties.
  • The original shipping fee paid at checkout is non-refundable.
  • Import duties or taxes paid on the original delivery are determined by your country and are not refundable by skinN°88.


7. Refund Processing Timeline

Because our products ship from Korea, returns require physical inspection by our fulfillment partner before a refund can be issued. The typical timeline is:

  • Step 1: Return authorization issued - 1-2 business days from your request.
  • Step 2: Return shipment delivered to Korea - typically 2-3 weeks (depends on the carrier you choose).
  • Step 3: Inspection by our fulfillment partner - 3-5 business days after arrival.
  • Step 4: Refund issued to your original payment method - within 5-7 business days after inspection is approved.

Total elapsed time is typically 3-5 weeks from your original return request. Please factor this into your decision when requesting a return. Photo-verified resolutions in section 5 are usually much faster (1-2 weeks).


8. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is shipped to a country within the European Union, you have the statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery, for any reason and without justification. The item must be returned unopened, unused, and in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility unless the item was damaged, defective, or incorrect.


9. Order Cancellation Before Shipment

Orders may be cancelled free of charge if cancellation is requested before the order has been dispatched from Korea. Orders are typically dispatched within 1-2 business days of payment. Once your order has been handed over to the carrier and you have received a tracking number, cancellation is no longer possible and the standard return policy applies.


10. Delivery Delays

International shipments typically take 2-3 weeks. Delivery delays caused by carriers, customs inspections, weather, public holidays, or events outside our reasonable control are not grounds for refund unless the package is officially declared lost by the carrier. If your tracking has shown no movement for 30 consecutive days, please contact us and we will open an investigation with the carrier and our fulfillment partner.


11. Damaged Packages on Arrival

If your package arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the box before opening it and email us at support@skinn88.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number, the 3 mandatory photos (shipping label / outer box / product), and a short description. This documentation is required for our fulfillment partner to verify the case using their internal packing records.


12. Chargebacks and Disputes

We respond to all customer concerns within 1-2 business days. Before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer, please contact us at support@skinn88.com so we can resolve the issue directly. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us, or after we have already issued a refund or replacement, may be contested with documentation including order records, tracking, and our fulfillment partner's packing records.


13. Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to refuse, decline, or limit a refund, return, or replacement request at our reasonable discretion in cases of suspected abuse, including but not limited to:

  • Excessive or repeated return requests inconsistent with normal buyer behavior
  • Claims that we determine to be fraudulent or unsupported by the required documentation
  • Returns submitted outside the 14-day window or without prior written authorization
  • Repeated chargebacks initiated without first contacting us
  • Patterns of ordering, claiming, and disputing that indicate abuse of our policies

Decisions are based on order history, documentation provided, and our fulfillment partner's inspection records. We may also restrict future orders from accounts demonstrating such patterns.
